SensiDocs and Rossum both read invoices and other business documents with AI, but they are built for different buyers. Rossum is an enterprise platform with annual contracts starting at $18,000 a year and deep ERP integrations. SensiDocs is month to month from $39, charges only for documents it reads correctly, and flags anything doubtful with a reason. The right one depends on your size and systems.
Everything we say about Rossum below comes from Rossum's own website and public review sites, checked on 16 October 2026, with links so you can check it too. Prices and features change, so confirm anything important with Rossum directly.

How much does Rossum cost compared with SensiDocs?
Rossum's Starter plan starts at $18,000 a year, and the higher plans are priced on a quote. Billing is based on the volume of pages or documents and the complexity of your workflows, with extra pages charged on top, and the minimum contract is one year.
SensiDocs publishes every price. Starter is $39 a month for 100 results, Growth is $149 for 500 and Team is $499 for 2,000. Pay as you go works from prepaid credit with no monthly fee. A result is one document of up to 5 pages, and a result you mark as wrong is not charged.
For a team handling a few hundred documents a month, that difference is the whole question. For a company processing hundreds of thousands of pages across many entities, Rossum's contract is buying things SensiDocs does not offer, such as ready-made ERP connectors.
How does each one read a document?
Both read without per-layout templates, so a new supplier's invoice does not need setting up first.
Rossum uses its own AI model trained on transactional documents. Fields it is not confident about go to a review screen, and it learns from the corrections people make there. It also checks extracted data against master data, ERP data and business rules.
SensiDocs reads with AI and then checks its own work. Values are only accepted when it is confident, arithmetic and format checks run on every document, and those checks can overrule the model. If the lines on an invoice do not add up to the total, the invoice is flagged even when every digit was read correctly, because the supplier made the mistake. Each flag says what to check and why.
What happens when a document is wrong or incomplete?
This is where the two differ most in day-to-day use.
In Rossum, a person reviews and corrects the flagged fields, and the corrections help train the system.
In SensiDocs, a flagged document comes with the reason, and when the problem is on the sender's side (a missing PO number, an unsigned bill of lading, an expired certificate) SensiDocs drafts a short message to the supplier or vendor saying exactly what to correct. A person reads it before it is sent.
What do reviewers say about Rossum?
On G2, Rossum has 4.5 out of 5 from 127 reviews, with ease of use, support and the AI most often praised. On Capterra it has 4.3 out of 5 from 13 reviews, where price is the most common complaint, alongside long setup and weaker reading of some non-English documents. Sources: G2, Capterra.
SensiDocs is new, so we do not have a body of public reviews to point to yet. Try it on your own documents instead: every account starts with 5 free results.
When is Rossum the better choice?
Choose Rossum if you are a large or multi-entity company, you need ready-made connectors to SAP, Coupa, NetSuite, Workday or an RPA tool, you process very high volumes, and an annual contract fits how you buy software.
When is SensiDocs the better choice?
Choose SensiDocs if you are a small or mid-size team, you want to start this week without a sales call or contract, your documents go beyond invoices (bills of lading, certificates of insurance, W-9s, K-1s, timesheets), and you would rather pay only for documents that come out right.
How SensiDocs helps
SensiDocs reads vendor invoices, receipts, credit notes and statements, and checks that lines, tax and charges add up to the total, that PO numbers and remittance details are present, and whether an invoice may be a duplicate. It has the same checks for freight, insurance, vendor compliance, tax and staffing documents. You pay only for documents it reads correctly, and each document gets two free re-runs. Export to CSV or Excel, or use the API.
